Combigrip Tablets
Combigrip Tablets contains - Phenylephrine – 10 mg
Chlorphenamine – 2 mg
Caffeine – 30 mg
Paracetamol – 500 mg
Phenylephrine is a decongestant and works by constricting (shrinking) blood vessels (veins and arteries). Constriction of blood vessels in the sinuses, nose and chest allows drainage of these areas which decreases congestion.
Chlorphenamine is a first-generation alkyl amine antihistamine used in the prevention of the symptoms of allergic conditions such as rhinitis and urticaria.
Caffeine is used to treat migraine and other types of recurring, throbbing headaches.
Paracetamol is used to treat mild to moderate pain (e.g., headaches, cold/flu aches and pains) and to reduce fever
Indications: Combigrip Tablets are effective against cold, sneezing, muscular and throat pain. It is also effective against fever and viral infection.
Side effects: Nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, nervousness, frequent urination or constipation may occur.
Dosage: Adults and children more than 12 years - 1- 2 tablets to be given 3 - 4 times daily.
Children from 6 - 12 years - half to 1 tablet to be given 3 - 4 times daily.
