Metrodent Dental Gel contains - Metronidazole – 10 mg

 

Metronidazole is a nitromidazole used in the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organism’s particularly anaerobic bacteria and protozoa.

 

Chlorhexidine Gluconate is a chemical antiseptic. It kills both gram-positive and gram-negative microbes, although it is less effective with gram-negative microbes.

 

Indications:  Metrodent is effective against acute gingivitis, parodontosis, stomatitis.

 

Side effects: Common side effects associated with Metronidazole are nausea and metallic taste in the mouth.

 

Dosage: The recommended use is for 7 – 10 days on the damaged area of the gum twice a day. This gel should not be mixed with the normal toothpaste for application.

 

Available Packing: Metrodent dental gel is packed on 20g aluminium tube. It is available in 4 different flavors – Original, Pineapple, Lemon and Strawberry. These flavours mask the metallic taste of Metronidazole.
